                                                                    TEXAS VETERANS
                                                                    Mission Statement

We are a veterans organization.  The Texas Veterans is a diverse group of people, who have a main goal of helping to serve all veterans and our community.   It is not a requirement that you be a veteran but want to help our veterans and our community.   We put God first and family second.  We have an unwavering respect for the Americans who risk their lives for our freedom and security.
The Texas Veterans Chapters are not a motorcycle club,
or motorcycle association.  "Motorcycle" is not a part of our group and will not be associated with our name (no MA or MC patches), nor will there be any support patches worn on Texas Veterans vests. *
The veterans are our family and friends, who we strive to enrich with our goals and endeavors, to help where we can.
We strive to help our community through volunteering with a helping hand, as well as monetarily, when we can.
All members will treat every member of our group, with respect and integrity.   We will not participate in any activity that will dishonor our colors, nor will we have any involvement in any unlawful activities.
Our members must be willing to work in our functions, to achieve our missions and goals, to the best of each person's ability.
It is a requirement that all members uphold the Charter's Mission Statement and Constitution, as adopted by our association.  All members must uphold their Chapter's By-laws, and all Chapter's By-laws will coincide with the Charter's Mission Statement and the Charter's Constitution.

* Though we are not a motorcycle group, club or association, many of our members do ride motorcycles.

Lest we forget!

It is the Veteran

It is the Veteran, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Veteran, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Veteran, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the Veteran, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Veteran, not the politician,
who has given us the right to vote.

It is the veteran, who salutes the Flag,
who serves under the Flag,
whose coffin is draped by the Flag.
